Location

Location

Manor Farm is 9 miles south of Marlborough on the A338 Salisbury Road. We are immediately opposite the church in the centre of the village of Collingbourne Kingston.

If you are using Sat Nav, please DON'T follow it all the way to the end! You will find yourself down a narrow dead-end lane with a steep and difficult exit, on the wrong side of the road!

Use your Sat Nav to find Collingbourne Kingston (SN8 3SD), then follow the main road into the village until you see the church. We are immediately opposite the church, on the west side of the road.

There is a fully interactive Google Map with our precise location on our home page.

From the North / Birmingham / Midlands:

Leave the M5 south at junction 11a, picking up the A417 / A419 towards Swindon. Head south on the A346 passing through Marlborough and joining the A338 at Burbage (5 minutes north of us). Keep going until you arrive in Collingbourne Kingston. We are approximately half an hour south of Swindon and M4 junction 15, and a little over ten minutes south of Marlborough.

From the East / Reading / London:

Leave the M4 at junction 14 (Hungerford), and pick up the A338 south, following it until you arrive in Collingbourne Kingston. We are about 15 minutes from Hungerford.

From the South East / Winchester / Portsmouth / Southampton:

From the M3 northbound at Winchester (junction 9), pick up the A34 north, then join the A303 westbound at Bullington Cross. Leave the A303 just past Andover on the A342 signed Ludgershall / Marlborough. Keep following signs for Marlborough (over the roundabout at Weyhill, and taking one right turn in Ludgershall and another a mile or so after it) until you arrive in Collingbourne Kingston. (You only join the A338 at Collingbourne Ducis, less than 2 miles south of us).

From the South / Bournemouth / Salisbury:

Stay on the A338 going north until you come to Collingbourne Kingston. We are approximately half an hour north of Salisbury and about one hour from Bournemouth.

From the South West / Devon / Cornwall / Stonehenge:

Come off the A303 at Tidworth and take the A338 north for about 10 minutes until you come to Collingbourne Kingston. We are about two hours from Exeter and 25 minutes from Stonehenge.

From the West / Bristol / Bath / Wales:

Take the M4 to junction 15 (Swindon). Head south on the A346 passing through Marlborough and joining the A338 at Burbage (5 minutes north of us). Keep going until you arrive in Collingbourne Kingston. We are about one hour from Bristol.

Travelling by train:

Our closest InterCity mainline station is Pewsey (15 minutes) which is on the London Paddington to Bristol line.

We are about 25 minutes from Andover station which is on the London Waterloo to Exeter line.

Reaching us by public transport from either Pewsey or Andover is quite a challenge, with few buses and at least one change required. There can be a long wait for taxis, and we strongly recommend that if you wish to use a taxi, you book one in advance.

Manor Farm B&B is in a beautiful rural area, and many of the best places to visit are difficult (or impossible) to reach by public transport. For the best experience, we recommend that you have your own transport.

Travelling by Bus

Collingbourne Kingston is served by the Stagecoach West service 80 which runs between Swindon, Marlborough, Burbage and Tidworth. It is a fairly limited service, with about 4 buses per day during our opening hours on weekdays, 2 on Saturdays and none on Sundays, so some careful advance planning is required.

Our closest bus stop is by the Barleycorn Pub. If you tell us which bus you are on, we will meet you at the bus stop to welcome you and help carry bags.

Travelling by foot / bicycle / horse

We are on OS LandRanger (1:50,000) sheet 174, in the bottom left hand corner at grid ref: SU 239559. The adjacent OS map to the west is sheet 173, and to the southwest and southeast is 184 and 185 respectively.

We have secure cycle storage and drying facilities, and may be able to provide stabling and grazing for your horse in association with Manor Farm Livery Yard.
